Malamine Ouedraogo

 

The sole purpose of business is profit. That is what they teach in schools and colleges. This thought has found a very deep root in people’s mind. It is so much that they are willing to harm others for the sake of profiting. This mentality can lead to an unfathomable loss of humanity. Malamine Ouedraogo wants to counter this trend. He has his business as well. But his interests don’t just lie with the profits that he makes. He wants the whole community to profit from his endeavors.

 

Realization as a Child

 

Malamine Ouedraogo is a citizen of Burkina Faso. At an early age, he witnessed the tragic lives of poor kids near his residence. They would not have food to eat, water to drink, and clothes to wear. When a malaria epidemic struck the region, many of those kids died. These images struck Ouedraogo quite hard. While both his parents worked hard to provide for the family, he often wondered about the plight of these poor children. In his head, he always thought of ways to help them.  

 

Small Things that Matter

 

The Great Buddha taught, “What you think you become.” Malamine Ouedraogo would soon realize the true meaning of these words. As he grew older, he visited these places where poverty still reigned. He had a close encounter with sickness and death. However, he did not have any money to donate so he bought food for the poor kids who he befriended. Soon afterward, Malamine went away to college for his masters in Sales and Marketing. Even when he was there, he did not forget his friends back home.

Coming Back Home

 

As it often happens, Ouedraogo got too busy with his studies. He was a brilliant student and received job offers from various companies. He started working as the Sales Manager in a big company far away from his home. While returning home one day, he met a person whom he had known back at that place he used to live. Turns out, this person was grateful for the little bit that Malamine had done for him. That person had now got a job in the city. Malamine suddenly knew what he had to do.  

 

Malamine Ouedraogo raised a charity fund for the families that live in poverty. His job as a Sales Manager ensured that he had enough money to donate himself. Ouedraogo utilized this fund to buy food and medicine for the poor people near his home. His efforts inspired others to join in. The place that once repelled people has turned into a friendly neighborhood. Malamine has not stopped his work though. He still leads charity events and often pays a visit to the people he helps.

 

Living for Others

 

He is the perfect balance of generosity and marketing skills. Not many people can think of others when they earn success. Malamine Ouedraogo works hard in both the jobs he has. Recently, he published a health-related journal that helped out many people. In his busy life, Ouedraogo seldom gets time off. Whenever he does get it, he flies off to a new place to do something good for the people.
