Malamine Ouedraogo: Achieving Success despite Hurdles

Malamine Ouedraogo is a name that Burkina Faso takes pride in. While most corporate big shots emerge from the developed countries, this man has gone on to show that there is potential in the seemingly underdeveloped countries. Malamine is a successful and high-achieving corporate employee in a leading health-care company. He began his journey in the small town but he never dreamt small. That and his determination to achieve everything that he can in a lifetime have ensured that his life is nothing short of an inspiration. Education and First Job Malamine Ouedraogo was born into a middle-class family. His parents had to work full-time, and sometimes even more, to provide for their large family. However, they did not let that affect Malamine’s education. He went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, then a Master’s in the same. Ouedraogo got busy soon after and got a job in a small company in the capital as a Sales Representative. The job required lots of conversation skills and the knack of advertising in a subtle way. Malamine was good at it. He got promoted to Sales Manager after two years. Better Opportunities His new role enabled him to expand his knowledge and marketing skills. He created effective strategies and advertisement campaigns for his company which helped it to reach out to new areas. Malamine Ouedraogo was having a good time at this firm when he got news of vacancies in a multinational company that was opening a new branch in his country. Since he was a local and had experience in the job profile that they were looking for, he applied. There were no surprises when he got recruited and with a better package too. In his new job, Malamine not only had to market the products of this company, which specialized in cosmetics and medicines but also look after its social media presence. It was tough to handle both these jobs initially but later more employees joined and Ouedraogo was happy to assume the supervising role at last. But as the Head of Sales, he had to visit some rural areas where the company was planning to expand. The sight of poverty reminded Malamine Ouedraogo of his own childhood. That is when he began to contribute to charity as well. Other Interests Malamine Ouedraogo has a job that people would kill to get. He has improved his contacts in the company over the years which helped him climb the ladder of success faster than ever. Every year is a new adventure for him. Now, he represents his company at global events. He is a proud member of its European Division. This means he gets to travel a lot. This is another dream come true for Malamine. He claims that things cannot get better than this but his hunger to get more has not died. Ouedraogo loves to travel with his family. He is a believer in short vacations few times in the year instead of one long holiday. He feels rejuvenated and comes back to work with anew spirit. Lately, he also runs a blog on beauty and health care products. Malamine Ouedraogo is living the best life.
